Use interactive chat, Tutor mode (Pro), or tasks to explain, summarize, translate and practice. Personal Skills are your own plain-text tutoring preferences, stored on the device.

Review & Learn
Write question-and-answer pairs from exact passages of your source, and approve them yourself. This works on Mac, iPhone and iPad, with no account.
Planned Turning reviewed examples into a personalized model is experimental and Mac-only. That model is saved privately and stays switched off. It does not replace the chat model.
Images and short video on Mac
On a supported Apple Silicon Mac, you can ask about an image or a short clip. The app looks at a few sampled frames. Images and short video are still being tested.
Planned Image and video on iPhone and iPad, and with a larger on-device model, are not available yet.

How a session works
- Create a workspace and add a PDF, text or code file.
- Pick a model. Apple's on-device model is used where your device supports it, or you can download an optional Gemma 4 (E2B) model that runs on Apple's MLX framework. Nothing switches models behind your back.
- Ask, then check. The app finds relevant passages in your material and answers from them. Open the cited passage to compare.
- Go deeper with Pro tools in the app: Tutor mode, source locking and more answer controls. Live subscriptions are planned, not on sale.

The planned paid tier adds room for Tutor mode, source locking and more workspaces. Those study tools exist in the app. The purchase does not.
Privacy
On your device. Not a blanket promise.
AI runs on your device with Apple's on-device model or a downloaded Gemma model. Study files and conversations are stored locally. No MaQkrs account is needed for local study.
The app never silently switches to a cloud model. An optional cloud review, which would show the exact request first, is not available yet. Model downloads and links you open use the network. Cross-device sync is not offered.
These pages add no analytics or tracking cookies, and they offer no account form, upload or payment. Hosting services process web requests to deliver the pages. Hosting log settings and retention have not been fully verified.
